ALARMING! Architect Behind Obamacare: 75 Years Is A Good Age To Live

Seventy Five. That’s the age Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and one of the leading architects behind Obamacare, says should be the ideal life span for individuals. On September 17th, he wrote an article explaining why he is satisfied with living only to 75.

However, this is not solely a personal view, and Emanuel acknowledges that. He writes:

My view does have important practical implications. One is personal and two involve policy. Once I have lived to 75, my approach to my health care will completely change. I won’t actively end my life. But I won’t try to prolong it, either. Today, when the doctor recommends a test or treatment, especially one that will extend our lives, it becomes incumbent upon us to give a good reason why we don’t want it. The momentum of medicine and family means we will almost invariably get it.

He claims to not support euthanasia. If that is the case, then why did he say his view isn’t just personal, but involve policy as well? It is also important to mention that his parents are beyond the age of 75 and into their 80’s, and Dr. Emanuel admits his father is still active and happy.

What is also absurd about his “living until 75” argument is that this is under today’s average life expectancy of the late 70’s, and many people are now living into their 80’s. It is hypocritical when liberals and progressives support moral relativism and say, my truth is my truth and your truth is your truth, yet doctors like Emanuel want to impose his personal view onto everyone else.

Regardless of age, a doctor’s job is to improve the lives and health of others, and let natural death take its course. However, he stated that policy should be involved, which sounds like he wants to enact death panels for those beyond the age of 75.

If you think this is just some conspiracy theory and that Obamacare doesn’t have any death panels, then try telling that to Sarah Murnaghan, the 10-year-old who was originally denied the lung transplant last year by former HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. If liberals still claim this wasn’t a death panel, then I don’t know what else you would call it.

The bottom line is Dr. Emanuel’s disgusting comments should be taken very seriously, considering he was one of the architects behind Obamacare, and claiming his view shouldn’t just be his own personal view, but a political view as well. We can’t stop persevering, and must do what we can to eventually repeal Obamacare, get government out of healthcare and medicine, and replace it with a free market system that gives the power of healthcare decisions back to American citizens.
