Martin Bashir is the quintessential example of everything that is wrong with the left wing liberal progressive media. They talk down to their viewers by acting as though their opinions are more valuable or insightful, while knowingly trying to sell their progressive propaganda as sound political analysis. Every once in a while they take it too far and show us how disgusting and nasty they really are, which is exactly what Bashir did when he spoke of Sarah Palin.
Bashir is part of the gaggle of yappers on television who are constantly ringing their hands and yelling about how closed minded conservatives are. They relentlessly preach about the supposed “war on women” that is facilitated by the evil Tea Party types. Yet those same people never pass up the opportunity to disrespect people, and in this case a women, who happens to think differently than they do. With the inherent hypocrisy that embodies their thought process, it’s no wonder that MSNBC hasn’t said whether disciplinary action is planned against Martin Bashir.
The left-wing media and liberals/progressives in general were hardly troubled by Bashir’s comments. After all, this type of behavior is the norm in their world. Despite MSNBC’s extremely low standards for who they employ to be the faces of their television network, they should not get a pass. Bashir may have apologized but as Wayne Dupree pointed out in his video blog, there needs to be accountability.
