According to Mark Carter of the Broke Party, a newly formed group of black grassroots activists fed up with the destruction and blight brought on their community by the liberal agenda, the protest was “about bringing attention to the demolition of homes in Chicago’s black communities on the west and south sides.” These buildings, Carter says, “can still be saved, but the city is tearing them down,” leaving property values and the community in the gutter.

Carter told Breitbart News they chose the Obama fundraiser as the starting point for the protest in order to send a direct message to Rahm Emanuel and Washington, D.C. that they will not be voting on Tuesday for those politicians who are allowing their homes and community to be demolished.

In an effort to bring even further attention to the ongoing issues of the black community in Chicago, the protest ended up outside of ABC 7 News’s local broadcast studio on State Street. This studio can be viewed from the street and sidewalk. When the protesters arrived, they used a bullhorn to announce themselves and called on weather reporter Jerry Taft, seen through the window, not to pretend they weren’t there, prompting a wave from Taft to the protesters.

The protesters waved anti-union signs, anti-NAACP, anti-Rainbow Push, and signs reading “Rahm Hates Black People” in front of the studio as Kathy Brock and Alan Krashesky broadcasted the evening news. They demanded their voices be heard and criticized Emanuel for acting in cahoots with community-organizing front groups ACORN and ACTION Now to put properties in the community into the organizations’ hands. These actions by the Mayor and the corrupt “Chicago Machine” have ensured that construction work only goes to the unions, effectively keeping the residents of the community unemployed.

Good for them to realize that the lapdogs are leading them down a path of destruction! Unions, ACORN, the mayor, POTUS, don't care about them. They care about themselves!

  2. Keep Honkin I'm

You people have been played by the Democrat party for 40 years… at least some are starting to see the light.

Come on my brothers and sisters, join the conservative
movement. You will discover the big
liberal lie and know that we are for ALL Americans.

  4. Polly Purebred

Good for them – I'm a conservative but if I still lived there I'd be happy to walk along side them. It's been going on since Pre-Obama days when as a senator he joined forces with Valerie Jarrett/slumlord – took state funds to fix up apartments but pocketed the money.

Finally, protesters with a real agenda. This is happening here too with our black mayor. The police are also stopping people with gun club decals and confiscating their weapons. There will be a protest here soon too

It is a beautiful thing. The day of the liberal whacko is over. Their base has become educated. Antichrist B. Hussein Obama has exposed the liberal agenda and Americans oppose it. You're going down Obama and your evil regime as well.

Love to see this. Glad they are standing up for their community. WE, the CONSERVATIVES, will stand with you. We like the opportunity for prosperity FOR ALL!!!!

    Praying for you all _/_

Can't be true…are they FINALLY waking up to the deceit, fraud, and all the lies Emanuel and his girlfriend, Obama, have been telling all these years??? They are probably in the Bath House, now, strategizing their next move, when Obama LOOSES!

If black folk could get the same mindset of not being taken for granted, it would be amazing. This same thing has happened in Harlem since 1999. No properties are owned by black folk. Harlem has been gentrified for years now. I used to work in Harlem and noticed all the brownstones being foreclosed and renovated by folks that owned banks from "downtown".

Wow. What would it say if Illinois went to Romney? How big a blow would that be to the liar in chief? I would love to see that. But I'll TAKE seeing that worthless trash out of OUR White House, and a residence of another house. One with the word penitentiary in it. I'd be glad to help pay for that……….

We are going to support entitlements/welfare or we are going to support jobs, and I don't mean any of those piddly jobs that don't feed our kids, pay our shelter and give us a sense of accomplishment as men and women.

This display is HUGE with me. It fills me with hope in times where I have backed away from Americans of color, because Obama's administration and supporters have nurtured unrest between races for their own security.

I really needed to see this :)

    Work or Welfare…. CHOOSE!

Admired or resented. Pave your way or remain suppressed and victims of the Democratic party. Do not for one minute think that opportunity will come fairly through them though. Know that they will always haggle and deal on the side for their corrupt manipulators of America… ACORN, SEIU, and a list as long as your arm. You will dream of the jobs and you will watch them being distributed, unfairly, amongst those who play the game.

It's great to see that good is triumphing over the evil liberal government that continues to enslave people. Welcome to the conservative party, where you can be in control of your own lives and prosper if you want to. There are many people who can show you the way.

  15. Conservative girl

This is great ! Make your life what you want it to be. God bless these brave and insightful friends

Protestors — we salute you! African American author Richard Wright even felt disillusioned by the communists — the white liberals of his day. Good for these people for decrying the decades of unfairness and Chicago machine politics who seduce them for a vote on election day and then stick it to them the other 364 days of the year.

  17. Ted

Chicago has to be the most corrupt city in the Country. The good citizens of that city, and of the whole state of Illinois deserve better. I don't blame these protestors in the least with the way the left has been using and abusing them.

Please be brave and come back HOME to the Republican Party, from which gave you ALL of your freedoms you enjoy today. After 170 years of rape, torture, abuse, murder, plunder, persecution, segregation and spite from the Democratic Party, You CHOSE to vote for Democrats, who had given rise to the KKK and Jim Crow laws of Segregation, and had filibustered your Civil Rights. And after 40 years of voting for those NASTY Democrats, your family unit has been decimated, your income in the tank, your jobs, fewer, and your hopelessness and despair from Democratic Party rule is never gone. Please vote for Mitt Romney and GOP Republican candidates all the way down you ballots. It is the Republican Party that cares about YOU and your well-being, and wants everyone who wants a JOB to find a good-paying job!!! Please come HOME, where your true Civil Rights leaders used to live and find comfort!!! We are the ones who LOVE the Black Community and want good for you!!! Go Romney/Ryan 2012/NOBAMA!!!

    Democrats and slavery:

On the issue of slavery: historians say the Democrats gave their lives to expand it, the Republicans gave their lives to ban it.

    The Democrats:

Democrats fought to expand slavery while Republicans fought to end it.

Democrats passed those discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws.

Democrats supported and passed the Missouri Compromise to protect slavery.

Democrats supported and passed the Kansas Nebraska Act to expand slavery.

Democrats supported and backed the Dred Scott Decision.

Democrats opposed educating blacks and murdered our teachers.

    Democrats fought against anti-lynching laws.

Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, is well known for having been a “Kleagle” in the Ku Klux Klan.

Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, personally filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 straight hours to keep it from passage.

Democrats passed the Repeal Act of 1894 that overturned civil right laws enacted by Republicans.

Democrats declared that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog” than vote for a Republican, because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks.

Democrat President Woodrow Wilson, reintroduced segregation throughout the federal government immediately upon taking office in 1913.

Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first appointment to the Supreme Court was a life member of the Ku Klux Klan, Sen. Hugo Black, Democrat of Alabama.

Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s choice for vice president in 1944 was Harry Truman, who had joined the Ku Klux Klan in Kansas City in 1922.

Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt resisted Republican efforts to pass a federal law against lynching.

Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt opposed integration of the armed forces.

Democrat Senators Sam Ervin, Albert Gore, Sr. and Robert Byrd were the chief opponents of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Democrats supported and backed Judge John Ferguson in the case of Plessy v Ferguson.

Democrat public safety commissioner Eugene “Bull” Connor, in Birmingham, Ala., unleashed vicious dogs and turned fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators.

Democrats were who Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the other protesters were fighting.

Democrat Georgia Governor Lester Maddox “brandished an ax hammer to prevent blacks from patronizing his restaurant.

Democrat Governor George Wallace stood in front of the Alabama schoolhouse in 1963, declaring there would be segregation forever.

Democrat Arkansas Governor Faubus tried to prevent desegregation of Little Rock public schools.

Democrat Senator John F. Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act.

Democrat President John F. Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King.

Democrat President John F. Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI.

Democrat President Bill Clinton’s mentor was U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, an Arkansas Democrat and a supporter of racial segregation.

Southern Democrats opposed desegregation and integration.

Are the Democrats really for the people?? The term “hood-winked” comes to mind.

Sometimes I think the people who voted for Obama in 2008 or those thinking about voting for the first time in 2012, especially the younger idealistic gullible ones, are like the legend of the frog being put in a pot of cold water then slowly heating it until they are cooked. Under Obama we are slowly losing our freedom one by one. Wake up America!

  21. IsOrvilleRight

Some voted against President Obama just because of his color. Others voted for him just because of his color and that he would help bring us past racist division. I too had hopes he would have brought us together more than he did.Merit and character should be how we promote, select, or reward a person, not by the color of their skin. This whole racial divide issue swings back and forth. Too bad we can't just hold that swinging pendulum to neutral. White, black, yellow, brown or red- we all belong to the HUMAN race. Justice is supposed to be (color) blind. The President needs to do his job without favoritism.

  22. OKSpeedy

Mr.Carter and company, do not give up your fight. The Powers That Be will keep ignoring you but you keep up the fight because at some point, they will no longer be able to ignore you. Keep pushing, fight the good fight. Black ppl around the country–especially in Chicago–need to get out from under the Democrat thumb, those posers that pretend they care about ppl when the only thing they care about is fattening their bank account, and they don't care who they shit on to do just that.

  23. marcthepig

The Democratic Party has been keeping blacks poor and dependent on government for over 40 years in order to stay in power. Glad to see they are waking up and finally seeing the scam.

  24. Shell

Thank God you're awake!! He is moving America in ways we could only dream of just months ago! Divine providence is alive & well …
    Glad to have you back!!

My heartfelt thank you to these brave, wonderful people. Seeing BO and his cohorts as the major examples of the black community, I was developing an attitude that made me scared and sick. Now I know that BO et al., are the real minority. Again, thank you.
