Barron Alexander was reportedly shot several times while he was burglarizing a home in West Philadelphia. The incident happened Wednesday morning on the 3700 block of Brandywine Avenue in the Mantua neighborhood. Police say that Barron Alexander, son of the infamous abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell who made national news due to his house of horrors, broke into a row home stealing cash and electronics.
Police Capt. John Przepiorka said Alexander went through a rear bathroom window during the third break-in, causing two of the residents to wake up.
“He was taking items from the property and a resident from the property woke up startled,” said Przepiorka. “A struggle started at that point, the resident screamed for help.”
A second roommate then shot Alexander multiple times, said Przepiorka.
Officers rushed Alexander to the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania where he remained in critical, but stable condition.
Przepiorka said investigators were trying to find out if Alexander was armed.
