BREAKING! Officer Darren Wilson Gives First Public Account Of Ferguson Shooting

Two months after the deadly struggle in Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson made his first public account to investigators regarding the shooting between him and Michael Brown. To recap, the struggle began after Wilson pulled up and asked Brown and his friend, Dorian Johnson, to move onto the sidewalk when they were in the road before the violent altercation began.

Wilson told investigators he was trapped in his car, getting punched, scratched, in fear for his life, and that Brown was reaching for his gun. Forensics determined it was fired twice in the car and although Brown was shot at least 6 times, the autopsy showed they were all in the front, not in the back as many protestors have claimed.

There were some witnesses who also gave their version of events. Piaget Crenshaw said Brown was trying to flee. Tiffany Mitchell, a second witness claimed Michael was pulling off and the cop was trying to pull him in.

Although Johnson also claimed Wilson was the aggressor, Mr. Wilson’s testimony of events contradicts this. To back up his claims, Chief Jon Belmar of the St. Louis County Police Department has previously said Wilson was pushed back in the car and assaulted.

Benjamin L. Crump is a lawyer for the Brown family and said, “What the police say is not to be taken as gospel.” But the friend of Michael Brown’s claims shouldn’t be either. In fact, the investigation is still ongoing and many more details have yet to be sorted out.

However, protesters and looters immediately took to the streets following the shooting, causing chaos for the city of Ferguson. Within the past week, an Occupy SLU was on the campus of Saint Louis University overnight to show their demand for justice for Michael Brown.

The mainstream media and many others jumped to conclusions in the scuffle between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman a couple of years ago, and I’m afraid they’re doing the same here. We need to respect the standard procedures of any investigation before it can be fully determined what should happen next.
