BREAKING! Officer Darren Wilson Not Indicted On All Charges

Earlier today, it was announced that the grand jury had reached a decision on the Ferguson case. Officer Darren Wilson will not be indicted for the shooting death of 18 year old Michael Brown.

Tonight, prosecutor Robert McCulloch prepared a news conference at 8:15 pm central time and spoke for about 25 minutes, concluding that Officer Wilson will not be indicted on all charges. During that time, he explained the case, jury, and all the evidence they have been reviewing for the past few months. Afterwards he answered questions from the media until about 9 pm central time.

To recap, the shooting took place on August 9, 2014 when Wilson asked Brown and his friend to move from the street to the sidewalk. However, he did not appear to cooperate and started attacking the officer which led to the deadly shooting.

Despite some eyewitnesses claiming Wilson was the aggressor, the official autopsy appears to fall in favor of the officer’s claim of Brown being the aggressor. Evidence shows that his hands were not up as a sign of surrender as it has been claimed. Plus, marijuana in his system, gun residue on his body, and the trajectories of the bullets fired added more evidence for no indictment to be filed as well.

But despite the evidence, protesters took their anger to the streets of Ferguson, looting and causing havoc for law abiding citizens. The protests have gotten so violent, that Missouri’s governor had to call a State of Emergency a few days ago in preparation for tonight’s official decision regarding Wilson’s fate.

One thing that is disgusting in this is the double standard as well. To recall, Dillon Taylor was an unarmed white 20 year old killed by a black cop just two days after Ferguson. Yet it barely surfaced, if at all, in the mainstream media. So too are Chicago shootings that go unnoticed for the most part, because of the overwhelming black on black crime, which does not fit the media’s race card agenda.

It is only a matter of time to see how the Ferguson protesters react to the decision. We can only pray and hope crowds simmer down in the following days and to bring back peace to the city after months of violence.
