This was my biggest problem with “endorsing” him during the campaign. Another issue was his followers, but that’s another matter, and it’s over with. I wish Sen. Cruz nothing but the best, and hopefully, he gets a significant role in the Senate to continue trying to shape Congress back to its constitutional foundation as we know it lacks now.
“Heidi and I feel incredibly privileged to have made the run for president and be part of an incredible grassroots movement,” U.S. Sen. Cruz said. “I will continue fighting for jobs, freedom, and security in the Senate for 27 million Texans and all Americans across this great country. The conservative movement remains strong and vibrant. When conservatives are united, we are far more effective.”
For the past 20 years, Cruz has made a living off working for law firms, state government, and presidential campaigns. In 2013 he was sworn in as a U.S. Senator and is seeking to expand his political involvement until 2024.

Rumblings in social are saying Cruz will have a huge challenge when campaigning starts to win back his seat. Hopefully, there are a few things he can get over and explain so that his opponents do not have the leverage to use it against him.
Cruz will have a machine when he starts but just how damage is he with the people of Texas as they watched both sides of the coin They watched their representative push off attacks by Donald Trump, but they also saw a side that some aren’t comfortable with. That could be huge. We shall see.
