Democrats facing tough races will support Harry Reid as Majority or Minority leader no matter what

First, Senator Reid made sure that the Senate did not submit a budget of its own so there could be no reconciliation of the 3 budgets. Second, Senator Reid made sure that neither the President’s budget nor the House’s budget ever made it to the Senate Floor for discussion and debate.

Apparently, vulnerable Senate Democrats are not afraid of reaffirming their love to the man who wrote ObamaCare and rubber stamps President Obama’s agenda in the Senate.  Earlier today, liberal Democrat Senators Kay Hagan, Mark Pryor, Mark Udall and Mary Landrieu told Politico that if re-elected, their first vote in Washington will be to re-elect Harry Reid as their liberal leader.

SENATOR MARY LANDRIEU:  “‘Absolutely,’ Sen. Mary Landrieu, a vulnerable Louisiana Democrat facing voters this fall, said when asked if she would back Reid as leader no matter the outcome of the November elections.”  (Manu Raju & John Bresnahan, “Harry Reid Set To Lead Democrats, In Majority Or Not,” Politico, 04/03/14)

SENATOR MARK PRYOR:  “‘Yeah,’ Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor, another Democrat facing a tough race, said when asked if he’d back Reid again.”  (Manu Raju & John Bresnahan, “Harry Reid Set To Lead Democrats, In Majority Or Not,” Politico, 04/03/14)

SENATOR KAY HAGAN:  “Harry Reid is our leader, and I certainly do support Harry,” said Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.).”  (Manu Raju & John Bresnahan, “Harry Reid Set To Lead Democrats, In Majority Or Not,” Politico, 04/03/14)

SENATOR MARK UDALL:  “Sen. Mark Udall said ‘of course’ he would support Reid if he wins his close reelection fight in Colorado this fall.”  (Manu Raju & John Bresnahan, “Harry Reid Set To Lead Democrats, In Majority Or Not,” Politico, 04/03/14)

SENATOR BRIAN SCHATZ:  “‘I support Harry Reid for anything,’ said Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), who won Reid’s backing for a tough primary challenge this year. “He’s my leader.”  (Manu Raju & John Bresnahan, “Harry Reid Set To Lead Democrats, In Majority Or Not,” Politico, 04/03/14)

Many voters are not hearing the truth about the GOP attempts to reach across the aisle because the media is not letting the public know about it. The GOP needs to inform the public about these attempts and remind them during every live interview. They need to remind these voters that they don’t represent only white, wealthy people. There are many in the GOP and on FNC who have differing backgrounds but they come together because of their common belief in democracy and capitalism.
