Donald Trump has doubled up Scott Walker in Iowa polls too?

Just a couple of weeks ago, GOP front-runner Donald Trump spoke to an Iowa crowd of voters and he had remarked how he was a close 2nd to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and maybe after everything was said and done he would be leading.  Trump said Walker who previously hadn’t said anything about Walker, deserved criticism because a top fundraiser to the governor referred to Trump in a recent fundraising email as “Dumb dumb.”

Here are a few of the quotes used during Trump’s speech to Iowans:

“He was totally in favor of Common Core, which I hate, I hate,” Trump said. Walker changed course on the topic, his rival said, when he saw “he was getting creamed.”

“He grew up right next door. A little advantage, right?” Trump said. “Except Wisconsin is doing terribly.”

Well, the man is a prophet! Not only has he taken the lead over Walker, he’s doubled him up with registered voters in the state.

According to Newsmax:

Trump has a 15-point lead over Walker in the poll taken of 227 registered Republican voters in the Hawkeye State, asked Wednesday who among the GOP candidates for president they would vote for if the caucus were held today. The results, according to the poll:

  • Trump, 30.9 percent
  • Walker, 15.4 percent
  • Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, 10 percent
  • Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, 7.2 percent
  • Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, 6 percent
  • Texas Sen.Ted Cruz, 5.5 percent
  • Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, 5.1 percent
  • Ohio Gov. John Kasich, 5 percent
  • Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, 4.3 percent
  • Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, 2.9 percent
  • Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 2.8 percent
  • Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, 1.7 percent
  • South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, 1 percent

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and former New York Gov. George Pataki each have less than 1 percent of support from Iowa voters.  The Republican voters’ poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 6.5 percent.

Last week, MSNBC did a small focus group in New Hampshire and the voters, everyday hard working Americans shocked the network as they gave clear stunning praise and accolades to Trump as someone they connect with even though he’s rich. That mood is very infectious all over the conservative base these days and it’s shifted to Iowa.
