During Meet the Press yesterday morning, Former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani made this statement, in an argument with Michael Eric Dyson, which sent shockwaves through the media world.
“White police officers won’t be there if you weren’t killing each other 70% of the time.”
Am I angry the former mayor said this? Absolutely not. Actually, I thank Giuliani for repeating a truth that activists like myself, Larry Elder and AlfonZo Rachel have all pointed out in one way or another many times. I guess it takes a white commentator saying it to bring the discussion to life.
This is the most important quote of the interview stated by Giuliani to Dyson:
“But the fact is, I find it very disappointing that you’re not discussing the fact that 93% of blacks in America are killed by other blacks”
The real travesty in all this manufactured Ferguson drama is the fact that the race hustlers and poverty pimps have basically threatened and therefore coerced the judicial system into putting this case before a grand jury in the first place. Then they continue to pressure the grand jury into feeling if there is a finding of insufficient evidence to indict, the finding will be the cause of riots, looting, and possibly worse. To be accurate, faux moral outrage over an incident with a victim that is less than sympathetic due to his own behavior, fanned by the media, glory hungry race baiters and the federal government’s response, is to blame for any negative outcome.
The truth hurts, but it needs to be said in the open in front of these so-called black leaders. They through their continued support of the Democratic Party and the welfare state are the ones that failed the black community. They are the ones that ignored or in some cases, supported the deliberate destruction of the black family unit that had survived the harshness of slavery, the perils of Reconstruction, the cruelty of Segregation and the battle for Civil Rights only to be destroyed by welfare and learned government dependence.
Michael Eric Dyson is the new generation “race pimp” in the image of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. They prosper financially and otherwise from riling up a crowd of agitators at any opportunity and keeping the racist meme alive. These so called “civil rights” leaders are the ones that use white racism as their scapegoat to hide the fact that they sold the black community to the Democratic Party in exchange for monetary and political support for their ambitions. Look at Reverend Sharpton’s position with the current administration. Do you think he would trade this visibility and what is essentially a pass on a $4.5M tax bill to do the right thing?
The greatest threat for the black male is not some “redneck” or a member of the KKK or Aryan Nation or even a trigger-happy cop. The greatest cause of death of many a young black male is a fellow young black male. Many in the black community and their leaders are in deliberate denial over this and seldom do the community or the leaders blame themselves or even take responsibility as a whole to deal with the black on black murder problem. If they did, Reverends Sharpton and Jackson would have been far too busy trying to find real solutions to very real problems somewhere like Chicago’s Southside rather than fanning the flames in Ferguson. Instead, they blame whitey, the Second amendment and businesses for the problems they themselves planted and nurtured.
Thank you Rudy Giuliani for saying what activists such as myself have been saying for some time. It is just a shame that it is only getting visibility and discussion because a white man said it.
