The mainstream media is tripping over itself to bury the stories of Planned Parenthood’s criminal and immoral actions. One example of their pathetic straw-grasping is this headline from The Hill:
That’s right, The Hill is so desperate for “news” that they are trying to link the Dentist who shot a lion in Zimbabwe to former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Here is a snippet from their “breaking news” article:
The Minnesota dentist who authorities say killed a beloved Zimbabwe lion named Cecil donated to Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.
Federal Elections Commission (FEC) forms show Walter James Palmer, a dentist in Eden Prairie, Minn., donated $5,000 to the Romney campaign in 2012.
Palmer also donated $250 to former Rep. Jim Ramstad (R-Minn.) in 1990 and $250 to Ramstad in 1992.
This is a typical tactic used in politics to associate certain feelings, events or images with other objects or people. It can be used positively or negatively, but in this case, The Hill is attempting to tie the outrage connected to the killing of Cecil the lion to the Republican party. It’s the most transparent piece of propaganda I’ve seen in a long time.
But the Twitterverse didn’t let this one slide.

@thehill Can’t wait until you publish the comprehensive list of Obama donors. He’s the guy who ate puppy dogs in case you forgot. ?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not condoning the potentially illegal killing of the lion. I’m not taking the side of the Dentist in any way, shape or form. However, this was one man and one lion, meanwhile Planned Parenthood clinics all over the United States are killing and mutilating the unborn on a daily basis. Yes, you can be upset about both, but don’t insult the intelligence of your readers by trying to deflect attention to something as meaningless as which candidates a private citizen donated his hard-earned money to.
