Guess Who’s Coming to NAACP dinner – Mitt Romney | Speaking Event Scheduled for week of July 7-12

On one hand, I am happy that Mitt Romney has accepted on addressing the NAACP next month in Houston even if he doesn’t get a majority of their votes. Democratic Black Americans already have a wall up against Romney so this is more ceremonial than anything, however, there might be a chance for a few to like his message and change their vote for Romney in November. On the other hand I see nothing but red meat for the liberal leaning media attached to the race baiting preachers from up north (Sharpnuts and Jesse Jackass) to continue to pick apart and distort every word that comes out of his mouth.

Remember, Mitt Romney will not be introduced as a man that has a different message that has proven to be successful in everything that he has accomplished. The will not introduce Romney as a steady father that loves his family and doesn’t stray (cheat).

One thing is for sure, Barack Obama who hasn’t attended a urban inner-city school his entire 3.5 years as President, will attend this also to shore up support in November. NAACP spokesman Derek Turner stated that he expected Romney to “address civil rights” and Romney’s solutions to speed up the sluggish American Economy. An economy where Black Americans were unemployed at a 13.6% mark in May according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

If you ask me, I know

Polls show a tight race between Obama and Romney down the stretch to November, and while Obama is seen as having the black vote comfortably in hand, appealing to African-Americans is important for the Republican challenger.

Romney could score some crucial wins in swing states if enough minority voters turn out for him in places like North Carolina, where about a quarter of the electorate is black and which Obama barely won four years ago thanks in part to huge support among African-Americans.

But a new poll shows Obama’s support among blacks in the state slipping.
