Harry Reid May Be Implicated in Receiving Massive Bribe

You know, it’s always ironic how often old adages are proven to be true. Most of us are aware of the fact that the quote, “Methinks the lady doth protest too much” is from Shakespeare. It’s a question posed by Prince Hamlet to “smoke out his mother, to whom, as he intended, this Player Queen bears some striking resemblances…”

Over the years, the phrase is often used by one person toward another of whom it is believed there is something going on beneath the surface that people cannot readily see. Years ago, I read of a nun who constantly complained to the Monsignor that there was just too much fornicating going on in the place. She was very upset and was obviously on edge because of it. In due time, it was discovered why the nun was protesting so much. She was one of the chief sinners in that regard.

People will often hate something (I’m referring to real/actual hatred here, not simply deigning to disagree with someone over an issue) because they themselves have a tendency to be drawn to that thing, but inwardly believe it to be wrong. Remember the movie, “American Beauty”? The one male neighbor of Kevin Spacey constantly beat the crap out of his son to make him tougher (a “man”) and to dissuade him from “becoming” a homosexual. Unfortunately, as we learn, the neighbor was a closet homosexual himself.

Too many people who have authority by virtue of the fact that they have been voted into office use that authority to destroy others. It seems to me that because the Global Elite (GE) has been pushing their agenda so hard via President Obama (seemingly casting all care and concern to the wind), their chickens may be coming home to roost. In spite of the fact that virtually no one within the mainstream media truly does the actual job of a journalist, the alternative media has been digging things up that are often on point.

In the case of Harry Reid, it may well be that his own personal chickens are coming home to roost in the form of legal action against him. If the articles are true, Harry Reid may find himself dealing with the long arm of the law. Yet, let’s not forget that this is the same man who just recently implied that Cliven Bundy, his family, and supporters may well be domestic terrorists and that Americans should not get away with breaking the law.

While not classically defined as “alternative news,” the Salt Lake Tribune recently reported the following about Harry Reid.

A Utah businessman is rocking both state and national politics after claiming Utah Attorney General John Swallow helped him broker a deal with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to make a federal investigation into his company quietly disappear…

Before we go any further, maybe we should look at this as a benevolent gesture on Reid’s part. After all, maybe Reid was simply helping a constituent? Oh wait, Reid is in Nevada and the businessman is in Utah. Hmm.

According to the businessman, a deal was brokered. “Jeremy Johnson was allegedly told that the price would be $600,000, and claims to have made an initial payment of $250,000 when he was slapped with a federal lawsuit. Now he says he wants his money back.”

The article makes it clear that Johnson cannot prove that the funds he paid actually made it to Reid. Johnson has no way of knowing. According to the Tribune article, Johnson – a philanthropist – was being investigated by Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Utah Attorney General Swallow came to Johnson indicating that Reid might be able to help make the investigation go away for a price. Originally, it was $2 million, but eventually, Johnson got it down to a total of $600,000 in two payments. A third person – Richard Rawle – was brought into the deal to help make arrangements with Reid.

Johnson spent 96 days in jail so far and has released emails that appear to corroborate at least some of his allegations. So far, Reid has declined to comment and Swallow denies the charges, stating that any help he may have given Johnson was for lobbying purposes.

I’m hopeful that the walls of protection around people like Lois Lerner, Elijah Cummings, Harry Reid, and a few others are starting to crumble. Let me also state that I believe this information has come to light (not only on Reid, but on Lerner and Cummings) because a person can only be involved in so many questionable things that truth bubbles to the surface.

The impact of this is that the GE doesn’t care about these people. They only care in so far as those people do the GE’s bidding. If they get caught in the process, oh well. There are others who will step up to the plate and do what the GE asks. Admittedly, Harry Reid has a great deal of power in Washington and we’ve seen it on display before.

But how many times does a person need to be caught in questionable or even illegal activities and still gets to keep his job and avoid jail? We know that Reid illegally used campaign funds to help his daughter’s business. Sure, he said he would pay it back, but only after he was caught. The truth remains that he did something illegal. He gets a pass.

What if it turns out that he is guilty of accepting part of a $600,000 bribe to help an investigation go away for a businessman? Will that be enough to ensure his incarceration? I have my doubts.

In either case, we’ll probably see more of these articles alleging greater and greater illegalities. Harry Reid doesn’t believe Americans should get away with breaking the law. What he actually means is any American except him and those like him.

We need to keep the pressure up.
