On 6 November 2013, during a Senate hearing on the roll out of the Obamacare Exchange website, Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts, expressed his desire for HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to resign. In less than 5 minutes he completely explained and placed on the table of public knowledge the rational for her resignation and her shown incompetence while performing her duties as Secretary of the Health and Human Services minion.
Here are some of the highlights of Sen. Roberts’ request;
Earlier in the year the Senate asked for information on the Exchanges and received only platitudes of program greatness.
March 2013 – People working to implement the Obamacare website expressed concerns about the sites possible failure to launch.
June 2013 – The GAO issued warnings about implementation problems
July 2013 – The HHS was being less than transparent about the problems with implementation and at that time Sen Pat Roberts introduced the Exchange Sunset Act of 2013.
August 2013 – The HHS Inspector General identified Privacy and Security concerns associated with the exchange website.
Early September 2013 – Main contractor, CGI, warned that they were behind on critical components of the web site.
Shortly after that revelation the White House announced to America and the World that the Exchange Web Site was on track and ready to go live 1 October 2013.
In Mid-September 2013 – CMS ordered CGI to perform a MAJOR change to the web site that required the entry of personal data prior to seeing what pricing and services were being offered.
26 September 2013 – A few hundred test visitors to the Exchange web site CRASHED IT!
27 September 2013 – The Official “Go Order” was issued to roll out the web site even though serious problems with the site were known.
Bottom line … Kathleen Sebelius allowed this website to go live knowing it was fatally flawed and thus put the Nation’s entire healthcare system and 1/6th of the National economy in jeopardy.
