The case for Carly Fiorina.
Bret Baier of Fox News provides viewers with a closer look at those considering a 2016 presidential run in his series, The Presidential Contenders – 2016. In mid February, Baier sat down with Carly Fiorina, who most would agree is a long shot at best, to win the GOP nomination.
I knew Mrs. Fiorina by name only. She is the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard and waged an unsuccessful run for U.S. Senate (CA) to unseat incumbent Sen. Barbara Boxer. Given Fiorina is a Republican from California, I had assumptions about her, the first being she would have little to say that I would want to hear.
I assumed Fiorina was a pro-choice, lover of big government, with little foreign policy experience. In short, I believed Fiorina to be a RINO.
I was wrong.
Carly Fiorina is a Conservative with the private sector experience as the CEO of an international technology company.
She articulates what it means to be a conservative, but more importantly she knows how to persuade. She is tough without being off-putting, she is smart without seeming condescending, and she is compassionate without compromising her beliefs.
Remember, you heard it here first.
The best man for the job in 2016 may be a woman indeed, it is just not the woman the Democrat party is coronating.
