Yesterday, I was reading some tweets and came across the infamous former candidate for Congress, Mike Dickinson, making disgusting personal tweets regarding the children of fellow WAAR contributor, Holly Fisher. Previously, he said he wished to God that Ebola would infect the NRA and its supporters from a tweet.
Mr. Dickinson is no stranger to controversy and has made not one, but many absurd statements, and this most recent one reminds me of all the vile attacks he and other liberals have made towards conservatives.
1) Threats against Trey Gowdy
As of May 2014, there was an investigation regarding threats made towards Congressman Gowdy recently after he was chosen to lead the special investigation into Benghazi.
2) Roseanne Barr
This infamous actress wishes cancer on Chick-Fil-A supporters back in 2012, about a week before former Governor Mike Huckabee launched his national Chick-Fil-A appreciation day in August of that year.
3) Mitt Romney’s 2012 Presidential Race
In the months and weeks leading up to the 2012 presidential election, tensions ran high as some liberals threatened Mitt Romney if he won.
4) In April 2014, Songwriter Diane Warren threatened Senator Ted Cruz publicly regarding his tiger-skin rug that he smiled in a picture with.
5) While most Americans mourned the loss of Chick-Fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy this month, there always comes the group of people who publicly presents their satisfaction and hate over it.
This is just a short list of many examples, but it goes to show the hypocrisy of those who claim to speak for love, acceptance, coexistence, and tolerance, yet can become the most intolerant ones themselves. I’m not saying it is exclusively liberals. To be fair, there are some conservatives on the right who have shown to do the same, because we know every single group will always have some crazy members within them. However, it is frustrating when the mainstream media highly favors the left and doesn’t consistently call out liberals when they make controversial statements. Sometimes, it seems hopeless, but we need to keep persevering and call for the balanced mainstream media the American people deserve and demand.
