Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump was trying to woo her with ‘creepy correspondence’ before 1st Fox News debate

Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump was trying to woo her with ‘creepy correspondence’ before 1st Fox News debate

Well, well, well. Megyn Kelly has essentially admitted she was out to get Donald Trump in the first GOP Presidential Debate. It was clear that was the case from the line of questioning she opened with, which Trump utterly destroyed with three words – “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

Kelly and her defenders have tried to say, “No, she wasn’t out to get Trump. She was just a seasoned journalist.” But her Vanity Fair tell-all tries to claim Trump was “wooing” her with “creepy” correspondence before he announced for President. She went into that debate determined to try to bring him down. Methinks Megyn Kelly thinks more highly of herself than she ought. It’s strange she is taking a victory lap when her attempt to destroy Trump apparently did not work.

From Daily Mail:

Now Kelly is speaking out to say that the real estate mogul tried to win her over with some creepy correspondence before announcing his candidacy.

In a cover interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the 45-year-old journalist says The Donald used to send her press clippings about her from time to time, signed with his name, and call to talk about segments he liked on her show.

Kelly says she didn’t know why Trump had taken an interest in her until he announced he was running for president last year, and then ‘it became more clear’.

However, she says that Trump’s attempts to get on her good side were pointless.

‘I can’t be wooed,’ she said. ‘I was never going to love him, and I was never going to hate him.’

Check out when most Americans watching the debate knew Kelly was going after Trump:

Honestly, this is just sad. It’s sad that Kelly decided to go here a few days away from the next Fox News debate. Fox News should drop the pretense that Kelly is an unbiased journalist when it comes to Trump. She is out to get him more than ever because she knows her attempt failed miserably.
