Donald Trump has a reputation for unscripted and bluntly honest speech which has most of America eating out of his hand which is the cause of a large poll lead among GOP candidates. He is also a master at manipulating the liberal media, they don’t even realize it and most of us are laughing at them.
Trump’s “No excuses and no apologies” policy doesn’t follow the script of how most politicians pander to the media and back-pedal when confronted with a controversial statement. I wish more would learn this tactic but they way behind the curve. Trump’s knack for doubling down and hammering his point home makes him a very attractive choice for those who have done this on their home sofas watching the news media continuing to push a liberal media bias. He doesn’t tolerate their leading questions nor their vague accusations. Instead, he calls them out for their deceptive reporting and deflects their attempts to make him appear irrelevant right back in to their smug little faces. It’s a beautiful thing to behold.
According to Real Clear Politics, Jose Diaz Balart is an anchor on MSNBC and Telemundo. He obviously believed he was quite clever in quoting immigration statistics and then trying to blast Trump with a controversial statement he’d made in the past about illegals. It didn’t go well for Balart.
“Many feel that what you said, when you said that people that cross the border are rapists and murderers,” the reporter began before Trump cut him off.
“No, no, we’re talking about illegal immigration and everybody understands it. And you know what? That’s a typical case of the press with misinterpretation,” Trump roared as his supporters cheered. “They take half a sentence, then they take a quarter of a sentence. They put it all together. It’s a typical thing.”
“You’re with Telemundo and Telemundo should be ashamed,” he added.
The best moment by far, however, is when the intelligence impaired Balart tried to interrupt Trump’s scolding to say he wasn’t finished with his question. At that point, in epic Trump fashion, he replied, “No, no, you’re finished!”
