NEWSFLASH! Here Are 7 Facts The Mainstream Media Will Hide On #TortureReport

With the Senate releasing their Torture Report  yesterday, it is important to cover 7 significant facts that the mainstream media won’t tell you about.

1) It was a Senate DEMOCRAT report

The report that came from the Senate Intelligence Committee was a partisan report that came from Democrats. Republicans were not involved in the process. It is also very difficult to deny it was a political move as well, having it released the same exact day Jonathan Gruber was getting grilled testifying on Capitol Hill.

2) Nobody from the CIA was interviewed in report

That’s right. Nobody from the CIA had a chance to give their take, because they were never interviewed in this report. Last night on Sean Hannity, Jose Rodriguez, a former CIA Officer, said the CIA was ‘thrown under the bus’ and that politicians are ‘playing political football with the CIA.’

Plus, on the CIA page, ciasavedlives.com, there is an introduction section that responds to the Senate Report, with the following excerpt:

Astonishingly, the SSCI Majority staff interviewed no CIA officers responsible for establishing, implementing, or evaluating the program’s effectiveness. Let us repeat, no one at the CIA was interviewed.

3) CIA’s EIT (Enhanced Interrogation Techniques) program saved lives and derived information

The following is part of the statement from CIA Director John Brennan regarding the effectiveness of the EIT:

Our review indicates that interrogations of detainees on whom EITs were used did produce intelligence that helped thwart attack plans, capture terrorists, and save lives. The intelligence gained from the program was critical to our understanding of al-Qa’ida and continues to inform our counterterrorism efforts to this day.

4) There’s a difference between enhanced interrogation techniques and torture

Former CIA Officer Buck Sexton makes an excellent case for distinguishing the difference between waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation techniques, compared to actual torture:

5) Only 3 terrorists were waterboarded

Rodriguez, who was present at the waterboardings for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, confirmed that no more than 3 terrorists were waterboarded, and says he doesn’t understand where sources are obtaining numbers any higher than that. George W. Bush also said the number was 3 from a clip from Sexton’s show.

6) Senator Feinstein already knew about CIA’s program

During his interview on Sean Hannity, Rodriguez says the following:

There are about 40 instances where we briefed the Senate and the House Intelligence Committees over the life of the program from 2002 to 2009, and we briefed Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi and Rockefeller and many others all the time.

7) Department of Justice found no prosecutable charges

This goes to answer the question many may still have: is there anything the CIA can be charged with? Rodriguez addressed the following on Hannity:

In terms of whether we exceeded the authorities that we had, this program actually has been subjected to very intense investigations by Justice Department and, in fact, from 2009 to 2012, John Durham, the special investigator, conducted a thorough investigation and he basically found no prosecutable charges to be made for anyone.

Now, the CIA isn’t perfect, and they have admitted that mistakes overall can and have been made. However, the evidence shows they were not as reckless as the Senate Report made them appear to be. Releasing this report has now endangered many more lives, and only makes our enemies more enraged when they will be able to read the report as well. It was a partisan, political report that the media will continue to spread, so it is important that these facts listed above be known by everyone.
