Not winning a single #SCPrimary county, where does Cruz get momentum?

Sen. Ted Cruz ’s grand plan to take the White House was to unite American conservatives by rebuilding the old Ronald Reagan coalition that swept him to power in 1980 which is admirable. However, his third-place finish behind Trump and Rubio undermines his designs.

A whopping 72 percent of Republican voters in South Carolina said they were either evangelical or born-again Christian. This state among all others was tailor-made for Cruz and is sadly didn’t end that way.

Among evangelical Republican voters, Trump won 33 percent, Cruz 27 percent and Rubio 22 percent. Cruz received the most voters who describe themselves as “very conservative” but it wasn’t enough.

If you look at the map below, Trump won all the counties but two which went to Rubio, Even in those two counties, Cruz came in third.

Cruz even ran fourth in Beaufort County where he preached the sermon last Sunday.

The Texan has organized strongly and is better funded in many of the southern states that vote on Super Tuesday on March 1st but his inability to carry a state with the same ideological and demographic make-up as some of the upcoming contests do not leave him in good shape.

This should sound alarm bells amongst diehard conservatives. Where do you think Cruz will end up as he is falling behind fast. Share your comments below and add this story to your facebook/twitter timeline.
