Lewisville, Texas – A Whataburger is finding itself in the media for all the wrong reasons. Two police officers say that the restaurant refused them service because of the uniform they were wearing.
Strawn City Deputy Marshall Michael Magovern recounted the incident to 1080 KRLD’s Emily Trube in an interview earlier today.
“He said it with a straight face, no smile and just stared at us” said Magovern. “Even if he was joking I’m not going to eat here because I don’t trust that.”
“I knew right off the top this was not a Whataburger corporate issue” said Magovern. “This was a single location, employee with a problem issue.”
For their part, the Whataburger corporation responded immediately to the accusations on Twitter and corporate executives have setup meetings for today to get the issue worked out.
@coderamsey We would never condone this action and this is completely unacceptable. We are working hard to address this as soon as possible.

What is going on with these places of eatery? Is there some unwritten memo going around we don’t know anything about? Someone let us know!
