I have told many on social media that Senator Ted Cruz needs to focus on Senator Marco Rubio as his numbers are starting to dip. I have it on good authority Rubio is starting to pick up strength and could have a better than average showing in Iowa on Monday.
Cruz has been trying to battle it out with GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, even asking him for a one-on-one debate turning away all other competition as if they were nothing. Rubio has a story Cruz is almost unwilling to tell. Both have unique stories but has Cruz seeks to win the evangelical vote, Rubio wants to win ALL the votes and this last minute effort could swing some toward his way.
With the Iowa Caucuses just days away, Marco Rubio is taking to the airwaves this weekend with a series of 30-minute ad buys.
Rubio spokesman Alex Conant billed the ads as a “special broadcast featuring footage from one of Marco’s town halls in Iowa.”
The ads will run on an Fox affiliate Saturday in Sioux City. On Sunday, the ads will run on Fox affiliates in Sioux City and on ABC affiliates in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and Davenport.
The ad buy comes just days after Rubio’s campaign scaled back its aggressive plans to blanket the airwaves before the caucus.
It also is a sign that Rubio is continuing to focus on building his support here despite continuing to remain in third place in the polls behind Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz .
If things change and Rubio makes a great stand in Iowa, this could change things for the rest of the race. We shall see. What are your thoughts about the ad buy? Share your comments below and let us know what you think.
