It seems Senator Marco Rubio is more concerned about his own “tomorrow” than he is about the average American’s “tomorrow.”
Rubio once again missed a key Senate vote on defense spending Tuesday so that he could continue campaigning in New Hampshire; a Rubio spokesman told CNN.
Rubio has said that he will “do everything possible to be” present for any vote “where my vote is going to make a difference or an issue of major national significance or importance.”
The GOP Presidential candidate was not present for the Senate’s vote on the annual National Defense Authorization Act, which passed 73 to 26. The vote was expected to be close.
Democrats already have a nickname for him ‘No-Show Rubio,'” American Bridge PAC said in a note to Democratic supporters on Tuesday.
“When I miss a vote, it’s not because I’m out playing golf,” Rubio has said. ”We’re out campaigning for the future of America, where I believe I can make more of a difference as president than I could as a Senator.”
Then stop taking your Senate paychecks paid by the taxpayers and become a full-time campaigner!
Rubio is getting paid to campaign. He’s getting paid to vote, and he is not doing his job … and, of course, there is going to be a new President, Obama has served two terms and can’t run again.
You know if most people missed 29 percent of work per year they would be fired. Maybe it is time for ‘No-Show Rubio’ to go.
What do you think of Rubio’s voting record? Does this cause alarm with you if you were supporting him?
