Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke recently appeared on Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show on Fox News following the execution of a Texas sheriff’s deputy while he pumped gas.
Clark said that he blamed Obama himself for starting a “war on police”. Here are some of his statements from the interview:
“I said last December that war had been declared against the American police officer, led by some high-profile people. One of them coming out of the White House, another one coming out of the U.S. Department of Justice. And it’s open season right now, no doubt about it.”
“That’s why I said the President of the United States started this ‘war on police.’”
Clark also mentioned that there are things that could have be done at both the state and federal level about people who are inciting violence against law enforcement officers. Clark also reinforced the fact that he is 100% pro-First Amendment, but that freedom does not include threatening the lives of others.
Clark has become more outspoken over the last few years, and it has earned him a national spotlight on more than one occasion.
Clark is considering a run at the mayorship of Milwaukee during the upcoming election cycle.
