By declaring war on GOP candidate Ted Cruz, the establishment RINOs have declared war on We the Productive Class, the dominant voting demographic.
Eventually, the GOP will cease to exist if they keep it up. The conservative version of the lo-fo voter will only keep voting GOP if they can maintain credibility as conservatives.
If the base entirely abandons them, and they are humiliated, the lo-fo’s will start to pay attention. The establishment believes the base will just slump their shoulders and pull the lever in opposition to the Dem’s in the end, regardless of who the candidate is.
They have some historical precedent here as well, the Perot debacle cratered their chances for a win for 8 years, but then they got Bush Jr. in for 8, they are probably happy with this back and forth, but for a lot of people this will be the final straw, and those people will never vote GOP again.
We could have fixed this when they ran Dole, instead we bought into the lessor of two evils argument, and the problem with that argument is that that bar for what is considered tolerable evil is constantly being raised.
I have had enough, and a lot of others think the say way.
Come 2016, we will purge DC snake pit of entrenched appeasing, expedient, placating and crab-walking despots by voting these realpolitikers out our government… a plague, a scourge upon the land.
