Touré Sorry (Kind of) with Half-Hearted Tweets Giving Him an Excuse for Being Misunderstood

toure1Touré, Touré, Touré, what are we going to do with you, dude? First, you tweet that white people were spared from the horrors of the Holocaust due to “white privilege,” then you try your hand at apologizing because gee, you only had 140 characters to make your case on Twitter and you were stifled. Things came out wrong. Ever heard of TwitLonger?

There’s Touré’s apology of sorts. See? He was simply trying to comment on racism in Post-WWII America and because of the limit of 140 characters, it all came out discombobulated. Dang, I hate when that happens!

But in reality, is Touré someone who can actually represent the black community in general? Moreover, can he relate to the black community in the inner city, the slums, the “hood” where crime often resulting in death as a daily part of living is the norm? The short answer is NO, NOT AT ALL. Yet, he tries, doesn’t he? He’s a black hipster who makes a lot of *money each year, trying to act as if he had an upbringing that provided him with the necessary empathic feelings toward others who actually did grow up (and are still there) in less than peaceful surroundings. He pretends that – unlike whites who benefit from “white privilege” – Touré worked super hard to get where he is in life. Bullcrap.

(*By the way, how much money Touré makes per year is anyone’s guess. Usually, that information can be found on the web, but try as I might, I couldn’t locate it. If someone knows and can back it up with written data, please let me know.)

In the meantime, those who have cable and even those who research their own news on the ‘Net have to put up with Touré’s arrogance and fraudulent persona because MSNBC believes that allowing him to say whatever he feels the need to say is fully allowable because he is black and on the left. Remember, those two things have to connect, otherwise all bets are off. A conservative black person is anathema, we are told by leftist blacks.

stacey-dash-2Just ask Stacy Dash, recently hired by FOX News. She’ll tell you how bad things are with all the hate thrown her way on Twitter. Interestingly enough, Stacy’s Twitter account was recently suspended (@RealStacyDash) by the “good” and “fair” folks at Twitter for some reason. Could it have been that she had the temerity to speak out against President Obama? She’s a celebrity, a well-educated individual, and now she’s part of the FOX News stable of reporters, yet I guess Twitter felt it needed to knock her down a peg so they suspended her account. Wonder if anyone spitting hate at Stacy was also suspended? I’m guessing no.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Touré’s account has been suspended…ever? I doubt it. He is one in mind with the founder of Twitter, so he’s safe. Plus he rails against whitey and others who do not appreciate President Obama’s policies.

Yep, Touré’s got it made in the shade, actually. He’s black and leftist. He has a great education behind him and as a fairly young man (he’s 43), is in the anchor’s chair for “The Cycle” and a number of other shows. Because he is on the left and black, whatever he says (just like Sharpton, Jackson, and others), is fine. Doesn’t have to be provable. Doesn’t need to be truthful. As long as it’s what he personally believes to be the truth, that’s good enough. That’s all it takes. Political correctness via emotional virtue.

Newsbusters has compiled a list of articles they’ve written about Touré and the things he has stated on the air. Just take the time to read through the titles. If they didn’t represent things he’s actually stated, they would be funny. Instead, it is absurd that anyone could say even half of those things and get away with it.

It seems like this most recent debacle, about the power of “white privilege” saving someone from the Holocaust, followed by a cacophony of people complaining about Touré’s insensitivity and racism, brought the situation to a head where he was likely forced to address it and offer an apology of sorts. That tells me there is hope.

What we all need to do is keep riding his tail. We cannot let people like Touré get away with their penchant for spreading garbage around while thinking that the color of their skin plus their leftist ideologies will save them from reprimand.

We can and should go to the defense of people like Stacy Dash, while at the same time, we need to be constantly pointing out the acrimonious assault that people like Touré bring to our senses with their lies, their false accusations, and their drivel. It needs to stop and the only way it’s going to happen is by us – we, the people – not letting them get away with it.

The left has had things way too easy for too long. It’s time we close that and open up a can of verbal whoopass so that anytime someone from the left even breathes wrong, we’re all over it like flies to sh…well, you know what I mean.
