While speaking at the Jerusalem Post conference on Sunday, U.S. Treasury Secretary, Jack Lew made a huge mistake. As he spoke to the audience in New York, he tried to convince those present, and perhaps himself, that President Obama is committed to Israel’s security, and to ensuring that Iran does not acquire a nuclear weapon. He told the audience that, “No administration has done more for Israel’s security than this one.” That was enough to have the audience boo him off the stage, and rightfully so. Despite the fact that Lew himself is Jewish, his support of Obama’s policies was a bit much.
Let’s take a look at those efforts made by Obama to ensure Israel’s security. During rocket attacks against Israel by terrorists in Gaza, Obama said that Israel has a right to defend herself, all while stabbing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the back. He has continued to push for a two-state solution. I count myself among those considered damned by the left for supporting Israel being one state…Israel. The “Palestinians” are a mixed group of Jordanians and Arabs trying to lay claim to land they have no right to in the first place. Then, Obama calls Qatar and Turkey our allies. They were both found to be shipping materials to Hamas to build more tunnels in Gaza. Qatar is also responsible for the monitoring of the Taliban Five terrorists we traded for traitor, Bowe Bergdahl. We need better allies. Obama has threatened to not speak on Israel’s behalf to the UN regarding alleged human rights violations as punishment for not moving forward with talks regarding a two-state solution. Now, there has been silence regarding the latest rocket attacks in Israel. It sure seems like Obama is concerned about Israel’s security.
Then, of course there is the Iranian nuclear deal that has yet to be signed. What great epiphany has Iran experienced that has them reconsidering their commitment to “”Wipe Israel off the face of the Earth?” Are they no longer the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world? Are we no longer “The Great Satan”? What has changed? We now have a terrorist-friendly President.
