UNBELIEVABLE! Police Called To School When Brownies Were Called “Brownies”

I am glad the brownies didn’t have peanuts that that would have been claimed sexual harassment.

This is ridiculous! We are raising a bunch of spoiled brats that can not deal with real life without something hurting their feelings. Wake up buttercup; no one cares about you being offended or having your feelings hurt. Teach you children to be tougher and to be functioning adults.

The teacher needs to be immediately fired for her atrocious judgment, and if there’s evidence that the school has a policy for calling the police in such matters, the Principal, and Assistant Principal need to be ousted as well. Only when people start losing their jobs over this nonsense will it stop.

A third grader had made a comment about the brownies being served to the class. After another student exclaimed that the remark was “racist,” the school called the Collingswood Police Department, according to the mother of the boy who made the comment.

The police officer spoke to the student, who is 9, said the boy’s mother, Stacy dos Santos, and local authorities.

Dos Santos said that the school overreacted and that her son made a comment about snacks, not skin color.

“He said they were talking about brownies. . . . Who exactly did he offend?” dos Santos said.

The boy’s father was contacted by Collingswood police later in the day. Police said the incident had been referred to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency. The student stayed home for his last day of third grade.

Dos Santos said that her son was “traumatized,” and that she hopes to send him to a different Collingswood public school in the fall.

And she wants an apology. She said she graduated from Collingswood High School and has two other children, a 21-year-old who also went through Collingswood schools, and a 3-year-old. Her husband, the third grader’s father, is Brazilian, dos Santos said.

Common sense must make a comeback and all the PC speech patrolling must come to an end! Our children are afraid to speak to anyone or say anything for fear they will get in trouble.

Contrary to what the PC crowd would have you believe, there is freedom of speech in this country and the government cannot do a damn thing about that. It’s a constitutional right that the government cannot infringe upon. The PC bunch will just have to deal with that FACT and go cry in their safe space if they need to.
