UNREAL! Obama’s Amnesty Speech Filled With Countless Lies, Hypocrisy

Tonight, Obama made his 15 to 20 minute speech on his ‘legal’ authority to grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens. Here are some bits from Obama’s transcript that caught my attention:

1) “For more than 200 years, our tradition of welcoming immigrants from around the world has given us a tremendous advantage over other nations.”

Wait a minute. For more than 200 years, people weren’t crossing the border by the millions and demanding unlimited entitlements. Well, that’s the current immigration crisis we’re dealing with today. My father and his family immigrated here in 1969 when he was 10. If it is good enough for people to come here legally in the past, it’s good enough today as well.

2) “All of us take offense to anyone who reaps the rewards of living in America without taking on the responsibilities of living in America.”

Is Obama sure? Under the president, over 50 million people are now on food stamps and some reports show up to half the country being on some sort of government program to make ends meet.

3) “And for decades we haven’t done much about it.”

Obama had a majority in both the House and Senate when he was elected in 2008. If he really wanted immigration reform so badly, he could have passed a bill during his 2 years of total control.

4) “As my predecessor, President Bush, once put it, they are a part of American life.”

Obama has attacked his predecessor on almost every issue whenever possible. He has blamed Bush for spending $4 Trillion in 8 years, while Obama himself has already spent over $7 Trillion in the past 6 years. Whenever things don’t go his way or a policy has been proven to go bad, Obama always says ‘these things take time’ and ‘things don’t change over-night’ due to his predecessor. Yet, he has the audacity to use his predecessor to attempt justifying his unconstitutional push.

5) “Now here is the thing. We expect people who live in this country to play by the rules. We expect those who cut the line will not be unfairly rewarded.”

Expect? But these illegals have been unfairly rewarded, and for far too long. If Obama truly believes illegal aliens shouldn’t be rewarded for breaking the law, then why won’t he crack down on them? He treats them better than Sgt. Tahmooressi or our own veterans waiting in long lines for their benefits.

6) “I know some of the critics of the action call it amnesty. Well, it’s the not. Amnesty is the immigration system we have today.”

Yes, we have amnesty today, and for the past 6 years under Obama, he hasn’t done much, if anything to stop it. On top of that, this new executive action is another amnesty tactic. If you don’t call legalizing 5 million illegal aliens amnesty, then I’m not sure what else you’d call amnesty.

7) “If you’re a criminal, you’ll be deported. If you plan to enter the U.S. illegally, your chances of getting caught and sent back just went up.”

Just went up? So what were the chances of getting caught yesterday? He has been president or 6 years, and he says NOW is when your chances of getting caught crossing the border will go up. So what has he been doing the past 6 years? Besides, we wouldn’t have to play this game of chances if Obama would secure the border and make sure not a single person can cross.

8) “Scripture tells us, we shall not oppress a stranger, for we know the heart of a stranger. We were strangers once, too.”

This was probably the most absurd comment during Obama’s speech. Politicizing passages from the Bible to support a radical agenda is always disgusting. In fact, nowhere in the Bible does it command a Christian to support amnesty or illegal immigration in any way, no matter what verse you find regarding loving your neighbor. Besides, Obama has been no stranger to mocking Christians and the Bible, so who is he to quote the Bible for his agenda?

We know from video footage that Obama always condemned using executive action on immigration before he was president. But now being president himself, he simply says he has the power to do so. His executive action for amnesty is a slap in the face to my father, his family, and the millions of other families who came here legally. While Obama continues to lump all immigrants in one group, there is a distinction between those that come legally versus those illegally. If it was good enough for immigrants to come here legally for many decades in the past, then I think it’s still good enough to do so today. Plus if there’s anything we can reform, its first securing our border, then reform the system to speed up the waiting time, and to design laws that create many incentives for people to come here legally. That is true immigration reform.  But as of today, we have a broken border and a system that gives more incentive for those to come illegally due to all the entitlements they receive. Now, Democrats, especially Republicans, in Congress need to have the spine to take all legal authority necessary to stop Obama’s amnesty.
