Watch former Nation of Islam member now Tea Party Activist SLAMS racist over confederate flag controversy

(Source) A black woman who proudly waves the Confederate battle flag because it “represents freedom” also believes that “slavery was a choice” — because slaves had the choice to die. In a new interview, Virginia resident Karen Cooper, former member of Nation of Islam, explained why she joined the Virginia Flaggers, a group that defends the rebel flag against those who “worship ignorance, historical revisionism and political correctness.”

Cooper — who found the flagging group through her activism in the Tea Party — explained the Confederate flag symbolizes a movement away from big government. “I actually think that it represents freedom,” she said in an interview for “Battle Flag,” a documentary project about the flag. “It represents a people who stood up to tyranny.” Screen-Shot-2015-07-02-at-8.56.22-AM She’s right. Pop culture and the media has made the Civil War only about slavery. It was a lot more than that. It had a lot more about being against a government that demanded you live a certain way. That’s why the South were called ‘rebels’. Thousands of white Northerners owned slaves too and considered blacks below them as well. The ‘sugar coated’ history they teach in America’s schools is inaccurate. The North wanted the South to modernize and let more train tracks in their land so they can get their cotton and other goods cheaply. Being against slavery was the North’s way of justifying a civil war. Screen-Shot-2015-07-02-at-8.56.30-AM Harriet Tubman said, “I freed a thousand slaves.  I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves”.  That applies to many today of all races.  People are slaves to political correctness and want to control what people think, say, and believe.  No one can have a conversation about history, or issues that affect everyone without being called a bigot or some other horrible name.

Every word and symbol is placed under a magnifying glass to be analyzed by the Thought Police.  No one can say that the “Emperor is naked”.  Everyone must stick to the talking points appropriate for their special group.  That isn’t Karen.  The word “racist” is overrated today.
