Harry Reid is determined to go down with the sinking ship that is Obamacare. Earlier today he denied any hiccups or delays in the enrollment process then went on to blame the various hiccups and delays on people “not educated on how to use the Internet.” Watch:
So, I guess Harry is a little more confused than we typically give him credit for. While he knows that young people, who clearly know how to use the internet, have not turned out to sign up the way the administration had hoped, he decides to give an almost laughable example of why the internet is to blame for low signup numbers.
There are some people who are not like my grandchildren, who can handle everything so easy on the internet. And these people need a little extra time. The example they gave is, a 63-year-old woman came in and said ‘I almost got it, [but] every time I was just about got there, it would cut me off.’
Reid went on,
We have a lot of people just like this, through no fault of the internet, but because people are not educated on how to use the Internet,
Right… It’s all those elderly people who just can’t figure out the website.
The reality is that most people know how to use the internet. But people who aren’t signing up are likely doing it for various reasons, like.. they realize the cost outweighs any benefit.
