Whoa! Not one GOP candidate has called out John McCain for SLAMMING excited Americans

For the last few weeks, we have been reporting on Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, Rick Perry and a couple of other candidates who fight the media and don’t hide behind their protective curtains from the American people.

Well Trump found himself the target of major Democrat and Republican “establishment” backlash after he criticized U.S. relationship with Mexico during his campaign announcement calling out illegal aliens as murderers, rapists, and drug cartels.

While many didn’t take Trump seriously as a presidential candidate at the beginning, that all changed last week when polls revealed that Trump is currently the frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination.

Since these polls were revealed, the GOP establishment has turned on Trump, making it clear that they are not happy with him upsetting the status quo. One of the most vocal Republican big wigs who has been speaking out against Trump is Arizona Senator John McCain, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2008. McCain was particularly outraged that Trump held a huge rally in Phoenix last weekend.

Many voters don’t know McCain literally disparaged the support for Trump with this statement:

“It’s very bad,” McCain told the New Yorker on Monday. “This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me. Because what he did was he fired up the crazies.”

As a supporter of comprehensive immigration reform, McCain said he has battled for years with the “very extreme element” of the far right. He said the party had just gotten these “crazies” under control when Trump stepped in.

“Now he galvanized them,” McCain said, according to Politico. “He’s really got them activated.”

McCain went on to say that he firmly believes that Trump’s past will come back to haunt him in the race.

McCain is backing his longtime friend Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina in the race, praising him for being one of the only people in the party brave enough to criticize Trump.

Yesterday, Trump was asked by host Frank Luntz why did he call McCain a “dummy” after the event in Phoenix. While Trump as explaining, Luntz kept throwing in “McCain was a hero, McCain was a war hero” and this was the video response where the establishment thought they would wound Trump but did they? Watch the video here:

By the way, not one GOP candidate has called out McCain for what he said about Americans. McCain and the other members of the GOP establishment can complain about Trump as much as they want, but we don’t see him going anywhere anytime soon.
