The “hands up don’t shoot”, or “justice”, or whatever you want to call it movement that began in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting was blatantly hijacked about 10 minutes after it began. Every Left Wing, Communist, Socialist, America hating, professional victim group swooped into Ferguson Missouri to get their little piece of the action. Most of these groups are affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement as well. Sadly, people who think they are genuinely protesting such things as racial profiling, quite frankly, have no clue their movement no longer belongs to them.
This “movement” is beginning to take a very sinister direction. It is not new, just bolder. Americans have watched over the last six years as Barack Obama delivers on his promise of “fundamentally transforming America”. We should not be surprised. He told us exactly what he was going to do, and with two more years to go in the Obama presidency, more than a few people must be wondering, are we going to make it to 2016?
Oh sure, it may sound all black helicopter and conspiracy theory. However, the fact is that the American economy has never fully recovered. More people are holding down more than one job just to make ends meet. Race relations have been set back 50 years as the president, the attorney general, and the usual race pimps do what they do by inciting violence and hatred. The general state of the American culture continues to deteriorate. There is no respect for authority, there is no shame, and there is no remorse. An entire generation of people think they are entitled to what you have. They are fine with getting a check from Uncle Sam, A.K.A. you, every month for necessities like smart phones and tattoos. They are dying to be offended by something or someone so they can cash in.
The recent assassination of two New York City police officers, and yes, let’s call it what it is, assassination, may have more people than we know asking, is it truly time for revolution?
Conservatives in this country have, for too long, sat on the sidelines. True, we don’t have nearly the free time that liberals do. The fact that most of us are busy working might explain that. But in light of this mind-boggling attack on two men just doing their jobs, what is it going to take to get Conservatives riled up enough to rise up? Yes, the ballot box is a viable option, and one that should be exercised at every turn. But bottom line, we are not doing enough. Why are we letting protesters and marchers in the streets take over? Why are we not out there making our own demands?
In the early days of this nation, our founding fathers and their fellow colonists saw the encroaching tyranny of the crown and a foreign government on their freedoms and liberties, so they decided they have had enough. They fought a war to beat it back. Is it violence that is being advocated here? No. Bur war most certainly is. That is, if you would like to see anything remotely resembling the United States of America by 2016.
Conservatives need to do several things. One, to put it bluntly, grow a pair. Do not be afraid to voice your opinion. Liberals don’t care who they offend, so why should we? How did we get to a place where we are told what to say and how to say it? Why are we letting ourselves be held hostage by the political correctness police? Why do we continue to let special interest groups tell us what to wear, what to eat, what to drive? The list is endless! For the love of God push back! Second, stop being nice! Many on our side will put forth arguments like, “we are better than that”, or “Don’t stoop to their level”. How has that worked for us? Answer? It has not. Our society has gotten to the place it has because we have let the Left use us for a doormat. If people want to protest, that is fine, just protest back. If people want to march, march back. If people want to yell and scream, yell and scream back. Bullies are only bullies until you stand up to them. And oh, by the way, don’t care what the media has to say about us. They are never going to like us.
If the murder of police officers will not jolt us into action, perhaps we deserve to lose the America that once was. If we allow the current climate and culture that has been established remain, perhaps we have lost the revolutionary spirit that was once embodied in every American. America is slipping away, we don’t have much time. It is time for revolution, Right Wing style.
In the summer of 2011, I had the great honor of meeting Andrew Breitbart. When I asked him if he had any advice for an aspiring blogger/writer like myself, he thought for a second, and with a mischievous grin that belonged only to him, he said, “Get in their face”!
Conservatives, it is messy and not pretty, but get in their face.
